One Settlement Economy

Seventeen products. One settlement layer. One currency. Every product that launches adds a demand stream to a supply that can only decrease. This is not a portfolio of projects. It is one compounding settlement economy.

SWSS Chain provides the sovereign settlement infrastructure on which every product in this ecosystem operates. Real-world assets, AI compute, payments, identity, and decentralised exchange all settle through the same consensus layer — SCP v3.1.4 — generating Finality Certificates and consuming SWSS Coin through the Transactional Settlement Levy with every transaction. The settlement economy grows as products launch; the SWSS Coin supply contracts as it grows.

Nine products are live or in live beta today. Five are in active development for launch in 2026. Three are scheduled for 2027. Each has a dedicated product page linked below with full technical specification, milestone history, and development status.

SWSS Chain provides the sovereign settlement infrastructure on which every product in this ecosystem operates. Real-world assets, AI compute, payments, identity, and decentralised exchange all settle through the same consensus layer, generating a Finality Certificate and consuming SWSS Coin through the Transactional Settlement Levy with every transaction. The settlement economy grows as products launch, and the SWSS Coin supply contracts as it grows. Where the settlement layer beneath all of them goes next is set out in The Future of SWSS Chain.

This is the structural claim the ecosystem rests on. The products are not a portfolio of ventures that happen to share a blockchain: they are demand streams into a single settlement layer denominated in a single currency of fixed supply. A property settled through SWSS RWAX, a compute contract metered by SWSS InfraX and a payment cleared through SWSS Pay are different businesses with different customers, and each consumes the same coin at the moment of settlement.

Each product listed below has a dedicated page carrying its technical specification, milestone history and current development status. Status and count are read from the ecosystem record rather than restated here, so this section and the product pages cannot drift apart.

swss ecosystem authorities

ONE ECOSYSTEM Four authorities Each owns its domain completely, and none can do another’s job. IDENTITY SWSS IVL Authenticates and signs. Holds no balance, stakes nothing, moves nothing. VALUE SWSS App Wallet operations, staking, treasury and the bridge. Everything holdings do. RECORD SWSS RWAX Deed truth. Every class is issued, recorded and settled, not asserted. VALIDATION SWSS NodeX Produces blocks and signs certificates. Admitted under KYB, never bought.

Splitting these four is a deliberate constraint rather than an accident of history. A single system holding all of them could assert who a member is, move their funds, record what they own and attest to all three, with nothing outside itself able to contradict it.

SWSS NodeX — Three Validator Classifications

Validator classification is a field of the on-chain validator registry, not an off-chain directory. It is read from the chain itself and is publicly verifiable at swssscan.swss.io alongside the admission block of every validator in the active set.

Validator Type Description Admission
Foundation Validator SwssChain Foundation operated nodes. Genesis validators. Governance anchor during the NodeX bootstrap phase, with accountability transitioning as institutional validators scale. Foundation internal designation
Institutional Validator Banks, investment funds, law firms, and regulated financial institutions operating full consensus nodes with block production rights and governance voting weight. On-chain admission proposal, KYB verified
Custodian Validator Asset managers, family offices, and institutional custodians holding DEED-1 assets on behalf of their own verified clients. Full consensus participation, with the custody relationship recorded on chain separately from the transacting address, so who settled and who holds the benefit remain distinct records. On-chain admission proposal, KYB verified

Each validator additionally carries an accountability designation on the same on-chain record, assigned by the Foundation at admission. Admission and rotation are executed as on-chain governance proposals, and governance voting authority is granted automatically on execution of that proposal. There is no manual registrar and no administrative key capable of adding a voter.

Q01

What makes this an ecosystem rather than a group of products?

One settlement layer and one currency. Every product settles on SWSS Chain, and every settlement consumes SWSS Coin through the Transactional Settlement Levy. A property settled through SWSS RWAX and a compute contract metered by SWSS InfraX are unrelated businesses that draw on the same fixed supply at the moment of settlement, which is what makes the whole a single economy rather than a shared brand.
