SWSS Deed Indexer

The settlement record is permanent. The Deed Indexer makes it instantly accessible.

The SWSS Deed Indexer is the protocol-level indexing infrastructure that transforms SWSS Chain's permanent settlement record into structured, queryable, near-real-time intelligence for all ecosystem participants — holders, institutions, regulators, and developers.

The Deed Indexer operates independently of the SWSS Chain explorer interface. It processes every Type 0x03 and Type 0x04 SCP Transaction as it is produced, constructing a structured registry of all DEED-1 settlement records across every active deed class — Home Deeds, Compute Deeds, AI Agent Deeds, and each further class as it is added — alongside the AI Agent Identity records that Type 0x04 carries, which are registrations rather than settlements and are counted apart from them.

The capability that distinguishes it is the decoding. SWSS Chain carries deed fields natively in the transaction at the wire level rather than in contract event logs, so reading a deed requires decoding the transaction class itself rather than parsing event logs. The Deed Indexer decodes those fields and resolves each deed's class against SWSS Chain's own schema registry, which means it stays correct as new classes ship rather than needing a release for each one. It is the authoritative source of deed metadata for the explorer.

What The Deed Indexer Provides

swsschain · deed registration What the indexer sees

swss deed index --tx <hash>

txType 0x03 # the RWA settlement type
deedId <prefix>-<reference> # the prefix is what classifies it
schema resolved from the registry # SWSS-ESTATE-, SWSS-COMPUTE-, SWSS-AIDEED-
legalOwner recorded in the deed # not inferred from the holder
jurisdiction ISO 3166-1 alpha-2
holder IVL credential, verified
certificate present # and independently checkable
indexed queryable # without asking the platform

Classification comes from the prefix and the prefix comes from the chain’s own registry, so a deed class the network does not recognise cannot be indexed into existence by an application. A superseded prefix stays in that registry deliberately: deleting it would leave its deeds counted in the totals and shown in no category.

Developer Access

Open Settlement Data

All deed settlement data is public, permanent and verifiable without an intermediary. Every record the Indexer serves can be independently reconstructed from SWSS Chain by anyone willing to decode the wire format, because the Indexer holds no private data: it holds a faster path to public data. Developer access is provided through SWSS DevHub, the ecosystem developer community platform, with documentation at docs.swss.io, direct chain access at swssrpc.swss.io, and the public explorer at swssscan.swss.io.

Q01

What does the Deed Indexer do that an explorer does not?

It decodes. SWSS Chain carries deed fields natively in the transaction at the wire level rather than in contract event logs, so an indexer built for a general EVM chain sees a transaction it cannot read. The Deed Indexer decodes those fields and resolves each deed\u2019s class against the chain\u2019s own schema registry.
